Built for Expansion

Beefeater’s platform was attracting 1.2 million users per annum across eight local markets. And with plans to expand into a further four countries, it was time to level up. 

Enter Total Onion’s custom platform, created by our team of Developers, QA Analysts, Business Analysts and Project Managers. Designed to integrate with multiple Pernod Ricard internal systems, the new platform enables nationwide competitions, newsletter sign ups, translations and tailored statistics. But most importantly, customers can find local stockists with ease. 

As a major brand, Beefeater’s integrity was central to the platform’s success. Strict cybersecurity constraints were adhered to without impacting speed, usability or performance. So much so that the platform became a blueprint for other brands in the Pernod Ricard family.

Raising the Bar

After proving to dramatically reduce maintenance time, Total Onion’s custom platform was rolled out across multiple brands and is now used across 30 multinational websites. Each can now focus on delivery rather than fixing previous technical issues that were slowing down performance.

Since migrating to the new platform, Beefeater have successfully launched eight new products and expanded into four new markets. With user growth of 41% and an improvement to organic clicks of 21% in the last 12 months.

But it doesn’t stop there. Our work with Beefeater is ongoing. With new innovations, customer interactions and products launching all the time, the site needs to remain flexible and adaptable to change, whilst remaining fast and responsive. So watch this space. There’s plenty more to come.v
